We have had a lot of fun spending the summer with each other, but we are ready for those long-awaited breezes to return here at Abita Springs. Our staff are excited to make this autumn one to remember with plenty of exciting activities planned for all our guests!
But first, let’s reminisce and think back to all the fun in the sun we had this summer. We enjoyed the savory smells of the grill while we celebrated our fathers in June with a summertime cookout. Our “4th of July Celebration” was also a sight to see! Our members competed to show off their wonderful talents in our “Abita’s Got Talent” competition, and we were all treated to the fantastic show given by DJ Brad. We adored spending time with our members roasting marshmallows and making s’mores over the campfire during our “End of Summer Bash” and our “Back to School” events, with our karaoke and candy bingo, provided our younger members with many new experiences they’ll never forget.
Not only did our staff bring the fun this summer, they also did a wonderful job keeping up with the newest renovations to the resort. We have placed new roofs on each of our cabins to ensure the safety and tranquility of our members. We have also placed new picnic tables around the resort, giving our guests the perfect place to sit, relax, and enjoy the various events or to simply have a nice lunch with the family.
Now, looking ahead, we’re excited to bring forth many fun fall activities and events that the whole family will make memories at together. We’ll kick things off with the “Labor Day Weekend,” which is loaded with fun games, activities, food, and so much more! The following weekend, we celebrate those grandmas and grandpas who helped us grow and taught us all their wisdom with our “Grandparents Day Celebration.” At the end of September, we officially welcome Autumn to 2022 with an entire weekend dedicated to the season. Afterwards, in October, we honor the brave men and women who help us during the most uncertain times with our “First Responders Weekend.” There’s sure to be some mouthwatering meals prepared that you do not want to miss out on, during the “Dutch Oven Cook-Off” where staff compete to see who can make the best meal, within 4-8 hours. Then we’ll finish up a spectacular fall with our “Halloween Festival” so start planning this year’s costume and be sure to pack those big smiles!
